Woman dies after fall on Orla Perć — Poland's toughest mountain trail
On Tuesday, 11 August, at 6:18 pm, TOPR mountain rescuers received a call from a hiker descending from Krzyżne Pass who spotted a motionless person below the vertical cliffs of Pańszczyca Valley. A helicopter crew reached the scene, but the woman — who had fallen near Mała Buczynowa Turnia on the Orla Perć trail — was already dead. Orla Perć is considered Poland's most difficult and exposed mountain trail.
