EU inflation hit 3% in July as energy prices surged 10%

Eurostat data shows EU inflation reached 3% in July, up from 2,4% a year earlier. The main driver was a sharp 10% rise in energy prices. Poland came in close to the EU average at 3.1%, while Romania recorded the highest rate in the bloc at 8.2%.
