Tusk announces PIT reform: higher tax threshold and new 24% rate
Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced two changes to Poland's personal income tax: raising the second tax threshold from 120,000 to 130,000 zlotys per year, and introducing a new 24% rate for incomes between 130,000 and 150,000 zlotys annually. The reform is expected to benefit around 3.5 million taxpayers and take effect next year. Tusk framed the changes as relief for Poland's "growing middle class."
