Police block Gawkowski's plan to tell 19 million Poles if their MyDr data was stolen

Poland's Minister of Digitisation Krzysztof Gawkowski had promised that all 19 million people affected by the MyDr data breach would be able to check whether their personal and medical data was stolen via a government portal. However, police have blocked the plan, preventing the tool from launching. Journalists at oko.press report that the scheme was questionable from the outset and was never fully feasible.
