Ousted Ukraine defence minister calls for elections despite ongoing war
Ukraine's recently ousted Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov called on Tuesday for elections to be held even as the war with Russia continues, citing a governance crisis in the country. Fedorov had until recently been one of President Volodymyr Zelensky's most loyal and long-standing team members. The move is seen as potentially the most significant internal challenge Zelensky has faced since Russia's full-scale invasion began.
