14-year-old boy drowns in bay on southern Gran Canaria

A 14-year-old boy drowned in a bay on the southern coast of Gran Canaria, according to the Canary Islands Crisis Coordination Centre (CECOES). The tragedy is the latest in a series: more than 40 people have drowned in the Canary Islands since January of this year.
