Tusk's Constitutional Tribunal pick sparks criticism: "Same bad practices as PiS"
Supreme Court judge Michał Laskowski has criticised Donald Tusk's decision to put forward his minister Berek as a candidate for the Constitutional Tribunal, comparing it to PiS's politicisation of the court. Laskowski told Interia that appointing a ruling coalition politician to the constitutional court repeats exactly the bad practices the current coalition previously condemned. The move has reignited debate about judicial independence in Poland.
