Liberia agrees to take 1,200 deportees from the US

Liberia has agreed to accept 1,200 third-country deportees from the United States, including nationals from Africa, North America, South America and the Caribbean. The first group of 20 was expected to arrive on Thursday. The agreement marks an unusual arrangement whereby an African nation accepts deportees on behalf of the US.
