China allows ByteDance and Tencent to each import 10,000 Nvidia H200 chips

China has allowed ByteDance and Tencent to each import 10,000 Nvidia H200 chips, the Financial Times reports. Other Chinese tech companies may receive similar approvals. The chips had previously been subject to US export controls targeting China's AI industry.
