Wanda Traczyk-Stawska, Warsaw Uprising veteran, dies aged 99

Wanda Traczyk-Stawska, a veteran of the Warsaw Uprising and soldier of the Home Army (Armia Krajowa), has died at the age of 99. Politicians from across the political spectrum paid tribute online, praising her contribution to the fight for freedom and historical memory. She was one of the last surviving participants of the uprising.
