Wildfire in Serbia's Deliblato Sands reserve burns over 3,500 hectares

A large wildfire in Serbia's Deliblato Sands nature reserve in the north of the country has scorched more than 3,500 hectares since breaking out at the end of July. Hundreds of firefighters remain on maximum alert. Experts warn that recovery of the area — Europe's largest semi-desert — could take years.
