ABC sues FCC, alleging retaliation for content that displeases Trump administration
TV network ABC has filed a lawsuit against the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), alleging it is being retaliated against for broadcasting content the Trump administration disapproves of. ABC was required to apply early to renew its licences for eight local television stations and is awaiting a decision from FCC chair Brendan Carr. The network warns that the FCC's actions send a "chilling message" that threatens press independence.
