Chinese e-commerce imports get pricier: €3 fee per product category from July
From July, a new €3 fee applies per product category on parcels from outside the EU worth up to €150, directly targeting Chinese e-commerce platforms. This is only the first phase of changes: in coming years the €150 threshold will be abolished and imports will face standard EU customs rates. Shoppers using platforms such as Temu or Shein will face progressively higher costs.
