Głuchołazy cheap-rent flats stand empty — 100,000 zł deposit proved too much

A modern apartment block in Głuchołazy was meant to provide affordable rented housing for families who cannot get a mortgage. Instead, it stands largely empty. The main obstacle turned out to be a mandatory deposit of over 100,000 złoty — exactly the kind of barrier that rules out the target group. Residents say they feel misled by politicians' promises.
