Turkey may scrap Russian S-400 systems after failed UAE sale talks

Turkey is considering scrapping its Russian-made S-400 air-defence systems after talks with the United Arab Emirates on selling them broke down, US outlet Semafor reports. If the decision is taken, Turkey would rid itself of a system that has caused years of tensions with NATO and the United States. Ankara purchased the S-400, which led to its exclusion from the F-35 fighter programme.
