Trump pauses Canada tariffs after preliminary trade deal
President Donald Trump announced late Tuesday that he would pause a 50 percent tariff on Canadian goods for three days, hours before it was set to take effect at midnight. Trump said the two countries had reached a preliminary deal, subject to finalisation of documents. He also teased that the agreement could include reviving the long-stalled Keystone XL Pipeline, which would carry crude oil from Alberta, Canada to the US Midwest.
