Jeep Gladiator fire lawsuit heads to federal court as 1.07 million vehicles recalled

An Illinois couple is suing FCA US after their parked 2022 Jeep Gladiator allegedly caught fire in 2024 due to a defective power steering pump electrical connector, damaging their home. A federal judge rejected FCA's attempt to force the case into arbitration. The same alleged defect now underpins a recall of 1.07 million Jeep vehicles.
