Block open-sources Berd, an AI agent desktop workspace built for its own staff

Block — the company founded by Jack Dorsey that owns Square, Cash App and Tidal — has open-sourced Berd, a desktop app originally built for its own employees to work with AI agents across different models, tools and projects. Released under the permissive Apache 2.0 licence, Berd is free to use, modify and redistribute commercially, with builds available for macOS, Windows and Linux. The repository reached version 0.6.2 on 18 August and lists 91 contributors.
