US Treasury seeks public input on GENIUS Act stablecoin rules

The US Treasury Department has opened a public comment period on rules governing payment stablecoins under the GENIUS Act. Under the law, no entity may issue payment stablecoins in the United States without obtaining an appropriate federal or state licence.
