Sacked Ukrainian defence minister calls for elections amid corruption claims

Former Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov on Tuesday became the first Ukrainian politician since Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022 to publicly call for elections to be held. The vote has been postponed due to the ongoing war. Fedorov also cited corruption as a key reason Ukraine needs to hold elections now.
