Cinema owners reverse course, now back settlement in Paramount–Warner Bros. dispute
Cinema United, the trade organisation representing movie theatre owners, has reversed its position and now favours settlement talks in the dispute over the Paramount–Warner Bros. merger. The CEO and board chair warn that the prolonged dispute could halt box office momentum and inject damaging uncertainty into the marketplace. The industry had previously been more sceptical about settlement negotiations.
