Russian businesses "voluntarily" paid $4.5 billion into federal budget after Putin's appeal
Russian businesses have paid nearly 384 billion roubles (around $4.5 billion) into the federal budget as so-called voluntary, non-refundable contributions, according to the Russian edition of Forbes. The payments followed a direct appeal from President Vladimir Putin to the country's business community.
