Swiss village Kandersteg threatened by 20-million-cubic-metre rockslide

The Swiss village of Kandersteg faces the threat of a massive rockslide from the unstable Spitze Stei rock formation, which experts estimate could release 15–20 million cubic metres of material into the valley below. Scientists link the growing danger to the melting of Alpine glaciers and permafrost driven by climate change.
