Bill Rasmussen, ESPN founder, dies aged 93
Bill Rasmussen, who co-founded ESPN with his son Scott in 1979 as the world's first 24-hour sports television network, died Tuesday at his Florida home aged 93. The cause of death was complications from Parkinson's disease, which he had been diagnosed with in 2014. ESPN went on to become one of the most influential sports broadcasters in the world.
