Poland's planned PIT tax changes clash with commitments made to the EU
The Polish government's plans to change the personal income tax (PIT) system contradict commitments made to the European Commission, according to fiscal experts. The Finance Ministry will need to show Brussels how it intends to offset the expected shortfall in state revenues. Prof. Andrzej Torój, vice-chair of the Fiscal Council, warns the government faces a serious fiscal dilemma.
