SpaceX reaches 100th mission of the year with Falcon 9 Starlink launch from Vandenberg

SpaceX launched its 100th mission of the year aboard a Falcon 9 rocket lifting off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, with a launch window opening at 10 p.m. EDT on August 18 (0200 GMT Aug. 19). The mission is carrying 24 Starlink internet satellites to low Earth orbit, with deployment planned 61.5 minutes after liftoff. The rocket's first stage is set to land on the drone ship "Of Course I Still Love You" in the Pacific Ocean — the 12th flight for this particular booster. It marks the third consecutive year SpaceX has hit the 100-mission mark.
