California court to rule whether Meta deliberately addicted children to its platforms

A landmark trial has begun in California against Meta, the owner of Facebook and Instagram. Four US courts accuse the company of deliberately designing its platforms to addict children and teenagers. If Meta loses the case, it would be required to fundamentally redesign its social media services.
