Wetherspoon bans phone music and loudspeaker calls in nearly 800 UK pubs

British pub chain Wetherspoon introduced a ban on playing music through mobile phones and conducting loudspeaker calls across nearly 800 of its pubs on Tuesday. The company cited customer complaints, stating the behaviour was driving many regulars "mad." The rule applies to all Wetherspoon venues across the UK.
