Astronomers spot three supermassive black holes in galaxy 12.5 billion light-years away
Astronomers have detected three active supermassive black holes in galaxy J0148-4214, located 12.5 billion light-years from Earth. The observation is among the earliest of its kind ever recorded in the history of cosmic research. Scientists believe the three objects could eventually merge into one.
