PKP tests 250 km/h rail system — Warsaw–Kraków under two hours from next year
Tests of the GSM-R data transmission system, which supports train operations at speeds above 160 km/h, have been carried out on Poland's Central Main Railway Line (CMK). Infrastructure Minister Dariusz Klimczak announced that next year the first PKP Intercity trains will run the CMK at 250 km/h, cutting the Warsaw–Kraków journey to under two hours.
