Hydrogen-powered JCB Hydromax hits over 400 mph to set new land speed record

Retired RAF Wing Commander Andy Green set a new world land speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats in the hydrogen-powered JCB Hydromax on August 11. Two runs averaged 406.320 mph (653.909 kph), with a top single run of 412.135 mph (663.267 kph). It is the fastest any car with a hydrogen internal combustion engine has ever travelled.
