Australia urged to fund triptorelin for breast cancer, endometriosis and gender dysphoria
Australia's Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee has recommended that triptorelin be funded for thousands of women with breast cancer or endometriosis, and children with gender dysphoria. The committee met urgently after AstraZeneca announced the withdrawal of Zoladex from the market, threatening treatment for more than 7,500 breast cancer patients. Triptorelin is already listed on the PBS for prostate cancer, and experts now recommend its unrestricted use across additional conditions.
