Actor Jan Frycz dies; colleagues pay tribute

Jan Frycz, one of Poland's most respected actors, died on 15 August. Fellow actor Andrzej Grabowski revealed he had called Frycz on the day of his death, unaware of what had happened. "Realising that Jaś is gone and won't be back is extraordinary," Grabowski said, expressing the grief felt across the Polish artistic community.
