Trains on Poland's CMK line to reach 250 km/h next year

Poland's infrastructure minister announced that successful tests of the GSM-R communications system on the Central Railway Line (CMK) have cleared the way for raising train speeds to 250 km/h. The communications system, without which the upgrade could not proceed, was several years behind schedule. The change is expected to take effect next year.
