Hungary channelled over €960,000 in public funds to institute employing Romanowski
Hungarian investigative outlet Atlatszo revealed that the Polish-Hungarian Institute of Freedom received 350 million forints (over €960,000) from Hungarian public funds in 2025. The institute employs Marcin Romanowski, former Polish deputy justice minister, who fled to Hungary to avoid arrest in Poland. The transfers were not previously publicly disclosed.
