Unannounced inspections for septic tank owners — fines up to 50,000 PLN

Homeowners with septic tanks or home sewage treatment systems must have valid contracts and receipts for waste removal. Document inspections can be carried out unannounced and without a neighbour's complaint. The fine for lacking a contract is up to 5,000 PLN, and in extreme cases can reach 50,000 PLN.
