2 million homes with septic tanks under inspection — owners must show paperwork

Nationwide inspections are under way targeting around 2 million homes in Poland that use septic tanks instead of mains sewage. Owners are required to hold documentation proving their tanks are properly maintained and emptied, and must present it upon inspection. Inspectors can arrive unannounced at any time.
