Holiday plants could get you stopped at the airport — EU warns

Plants, fruits and seeds brought from outside the EU can be seized at the border, with the traveller footing the bill for their destruction or return. The EU's Plant Health 4 Life campaign is reminding holidaymakers of phytosanitary rules that apply when entering the bloc. The checks cover plant material bought as souvenirs as well.
