Government: Nawrocki's veto on windfall tax law cost Poles cheaper fuel

Government spokesman Adam Szłapka said that extending the fuel subsidy programme CPN will be very difficult, blaming President Karol Nawrocki for vetoing the windfall profits tax bill that was meant to fund it. Szłapka called the veto "absurd" and harmful to Polish drivers. Without the law, the government faces a funding gap for keeping fuel prices down.
