Zhu Rongji's funeral: nostalgia for China's era of growth shadows the present

Beijing is using the funeral of former Premier Zhu Rongji to portray today's China as carrying forward his era of rapid economic growth. For many Chinese citizens, however, the optimism of that period has since faded considerably. The ceremony is prompting wider reflection on the direction China has taken under current leadership.
