Ferguson shipyard to cut a quarter of its workforce as second ferry nears completion

State-owned Ferguson shipyard in Port Glasgow plans to cut a quarter of its workforce. The move comes as work on the second of two long-delayed CalMac ferries is drawing to a close. With the contract nearing completion, the yard has no guaranteed follow-on work to sustain current staffing levels.
