Russia introduces new tech levy — electronics set to cost more

Russia is preparing a new technology levy on its electronics market, requiring manufacturers and importers to pay a total of 136 billion roubles into the state budget over six years. The fee will apply to both imported and domestically produced devices, with a maximum rate of 5,000 roubles per unit. The measure was reported by The Moscow Times.
