Latvia demands €7 billion from Brussels for arms ahead of elections
Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs is demanding seven billion euros from Brussels for arms in connection with the ongoing war on the country's eastern border, according to Politico. The demand comes against the backdrop of approaching parliamentary elections in Latvia and fears of a change of government in Riga. Latvia has been bearing significant military costs in support of Ukraine.
