Russia sentences opposition politician Lev Shlosberg to 11 years in a penal colony

A court in Pskov sentenced Lev Shlosberg of the opposition Yabloko party to 11 years in a penal colony for "discrediting the armed forces" and spreading "false information" — his actual words were a call for a ceasefire and an end to bloodshed. His party, Yabloko, has simultaneously been barred from elections.
