US–Iran truce expires, oil prices rise after Strait of Hormuz attack
Oil prices have risen again following the expiry of the 60-day US–Iran truce. The situation was worsened by an attack on a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, through which a major share of global oil supplies passes. Markets fear the conflict could drag on and keep oil transport severely disrupted.
