Russian economist fired after saying "We won't win this war of attrition"
Andrei Klepach, a leading economist at Russia's state development institution VEB.RF, was dismissed after his critical remarks about the war in Ukraine gained public attention. He said, among other things: "We won't win this war of attrition," and assessed that Russia is falling behind economically and technologically.
