Micron and SK Hynix bet billions on RAM capacity — results won't arrive until 2028

Micron and SK Hynix have committed billions of dollars to expanding RAM production capacity. However, virtually none of the new capacity is expected to come online before 2028. This means memory supply will remain constrained relative to surging demand, driven largely by AI workloads, for several years to come.
