Government spokesman compared Głuchołazy downpour to an earthquake — journalist pushes back
Government spokesman Szłapka defended the authorities against accusations of failing to protect Głuchołazy from the violent storms that once again flooded the town. He cited Japan and earthquakes as an example of how even prepared countries cannot prevent all natural disasters. A Polsat News journalist hit back sharply: "I can't believe you just compared an earthquake to a 15-minute downpour in Głuchołazy."
