Four crashes in 25 years — over 40 Poles killed on the road to Medjugorie

Over the past 25 years, four major tragedies have occurred on routes to the Bosnian shrine of Medjugorie, killing more than 40 Polish pilgrims in total. The route is popular among Polish Catholic pilgrims but has proven repeatedly deadly. Each new accident revives public debate about pilgrim safety on the road.
