Memory-rewriting therapy reduces lifelong fear of failure in young adults
New research shows that imagery-based therapy — in which young adults revisited painful childhood memories — produced lasting reductions in fear of failure, guilt, sadness and stress. The study suggests that emotional patterns rooted in childhood criticism are more flexible than previously thought and can be durably changed through targeted therapy.
